“It is very rare to see Beijing snowing so heavily, I am from Dongbei, but I have been here for quite a few years and I have never seen this much snow.” Shen Tianyang, a student from Tsinghua’s Academy of Arts & Design, woke up and decided to see what it would be like to sculpt the famous Venus de Milo out of snow.
“As a sculpture major student, I was curious to see what it would be like to sculpt with snow.” Throughout the four hours that it took for him to create his piece, many students came to witness the process and shared it all over social media. “It's snow, it‘s going to melt, but that's part of the art.”
Obviously, the sculpture won’t last, but you might still be able to catch a glimpse of it on the Zijing field.
